Joss Stone delighted fans on Monday with a rare UK TV appearance as she joined Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning for an interview.
Dressed chicly in a pair of black flared trousers and a black velvet blouse with cut-out panelling, the Devon-born singer looked effortlessly sophisticated as she sat on the couch.
Joss was there to discuss her new album, Never Forget My Love, which she explained was inspired by her daughter Violet after welcoming her in January of this year.
“There’s also a song called The Greatest Secret… no-one knew I was pregnant then,” she said.

“There’s another song called You’re My Girl, I actually started writing it for a friend of mine, as we didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl, but now it’s turned into a song for my daughter and I sing it to her and she starts to laugh.”
This will be the 34-year-old’s first collection of music she has released in six years and, judging by the reaction from watching her on the daytime show, fans are happy to see her back.
“Isn’t Joss Stone the most adorable human being? What an absolute sweetie!” one This Morning viewer wrote on social media, as another described the star as “stunning.”
“OMG @JossStone you’re so cute I’ve missed you so much and pls don’t worry we LOVE the song and are so excited for the new album,” added another excited fan.
Joss kept her pregnancy shrouded in secrecy while awaiting the birth of her first child with partner Cody Da Luz, surprising fans by introducing her online three days after she arrived.
“I had a little bun that I’ve been making for about nine months, and it’s cooked! Here’s one we made earlier… she’s so sweet!” Joss captioned in a clip she comically added as part of her Cooking With Joss series.
The singer – who now resides in Devon after spending years living in the US – confirmed earlier this year on Facebook Live that she had a caesarean following a difficult labour with Violet.
“She was breech so I had to have a C-section which was delightful,” she said.
“I’m tired. Cody has been amazing, totally worth it. They had to take her out the sunroof which was quick. Doctor Lee, we love you!”
Joss also revealed that she didn’t know the sex of her baby until she was born.
“We didn’t know she was a girl until that moment. I wanted a girl, but I didn’t want to tell anyone that – nothing against boys.”
After enjoying time at home with her little one, the singer now appears ready to get back on with work as she releases new music, which her fans will be relieved to hear.
