Ole Miss football sideline celebrates tying TD with fire extinguisher (Video)

Ole Miss football finally got on the board in the Sugar Bowl with a beautiful touchdown pass in the third quarter but a fire extinguisher was the real star.

With the devastating and heartbreaking injury to Matt Corral, Ole Miss football fans were certainly concerned for the Rebels’ fate in the Sugar Bowl. Young quarterback Luke Altmyer stepped in and was giving it his all in the first half but the results just weren’t there.

The second half, however, seemed like a different story. Altmyer took the field with some newfound confidence and began showing what he was capable of with some absolutely beautiful throws. But none were better than the dime he tossed to get the Rebels on the board.

Trailing 7-0 to Baylor, the inexperienced Ole Miss quarterback dotted up the Bears defense to find Braylon Sanders for a long touchdown, the first of Altmyer’s college career.

Ole Miss football: Rebels celebrate TD with fire extinguisher on sideline

As beautiful as the touchdown pass was (and important), all fans could talk about was the fire extinguisher one Rebels player had on the sidelines and was using the celebrate.

So many questions that need to be answered.

Where did this guy get the fire extinguisher? Is he supposed to have it? Did Lane Kiffin give it to his player? Is that actually Lane Kiffin in a uniform so he can celebrate a touchdown with a fire extinguisher? The people need to know these things.

No matter the answers, though, we can all sit back as fans and appreciate that absurdity of a college football player celebrating a touchdown like this. What a dumb, beautiful, hilarious sport.
