Sydney Sixers’ Alyssa Healy strikes incredible innings to set up victory over Perth Scorchers

Sydney Sixers superstar Alyssa Healy has hammered an unbeaten 94 from just 57 balls to lay the platform for a 44-run win over the Perth Scorchers in the Women’s Big Bash League.

Opening the batting with Sixers captain Ellyse Perry after the skipper won the toss and opted to set a target in the Perth clash, the gun duo rocketed to 101 before the fall of the first wicket.

But while Perry departed for a tidy 31 from 39, Healy powered on to notch the third-highest score of this summer’s WBBL tournament.

The T20 World Cup winner belted 12 fours and two sixes as the women in pink posted 3-161 from their 20 overs.

The Scorchers then managed just 9-117 from their 20 overs.

“Jeez, it’s fun to watch Alyssa Healy when she’s batting like this!” posted the official WBBL Twitter account.

Only the Hurricanes’ Rachel Priest (107 not out from 68) and the Scorchers’ Sophie Devine (101 off 60) have made a higher individual score than Healy this summer.
