The ‘worst limbs of the season’ got here at Old Trafford after an important Cristiano Ronaldo purpose for Manchester United in opposition to Arsenal.

One fan tweeted: “We cheered more than this when Antonio Rüdiger dragged a shot wide from 40 yards out while we were 0-6 down last weekend… Jesus.”

Another added: “Imagine having to put up with this atmosphere week in, week out, I’ve cheered more for a corner kick.” Whilst one other echoed this with: “Seen West Ham celebrate corners better.”

A fourth supporter wrote: “No wonder they call it a Theatre.” Meanwhile, one other tweeted: “This genuinely hurts my soul. embarrassing to a different level.”

Ronaldo’s purpose that night time was the second of two for the Portuguese ahead and sealed a 3-2 comeback victory for United, who had trailed the Gunners in the course of the first half.
